Villa Sati Ubud

Villa Sati is situated within the quiet village of Sebali in the district of Keliki, an area of traditional rice fields and tree-stuffed ravines which have been carved by rivers racing by fertile volcanic soil. Villa Sati is one hour and 15 minutes driving from Ngurah Rai International Airport. Its central location makes it convenient for touring the island. Villa Sati Lodging

An arch of big bamboo and an elaborate, traditional Balinese gateway marks the entrance to Villa Sati. This personal, walled enclave on the grounds of Vajra Villas is comprised of two thatched-roof pavilions bordering a courtyard, a small garden and a pool. The primary two-storey pavilion is a jewel-like marriage of wood and glass providing beautiful panoramic views of the rice fields, allows for an appreciation of the complexity and fantastic thing about time-honoured practices of rice farming. The area is also a birdwatchers’ paradise, and in every path lies an invite to leisurely exploration. The caring workers present a glimpse into the light Balinese spirit, fulfilling their duties with enthusiasm and ready smiles.

Bed room & En-Suite Bathroom

Across the courtyard is the northern pavilion with a hovering intricately thatched roof. Sliding glass doorways lead instantly from the pool deck into the spacious air-conditioned bed room furnished with a canopied queen-sized bed. A customized-made teak fitted wardrobe houses a personal safe deposit box. The inviting decor, with its merbau floor bordered by black stone has a luminous deep purple wall which is interrupted by recessed lighting niches. It’s enlivened by 5 shimmering golden paintings by a local Ubud artist. The elegant furnishings also include cushioned water-hyacinth chairs and a desk the place your breakfast can be served. Stereo audio system carry music from the sound system within the living room.

The en-suite open-air lavatory is an exhilarating counterpoint. It is dominated by an over-sized Jacuzzi bathtub below a flowered pergola of cascading thunbergia, bordered by thriving yellow bamboo, orchids, ferns and elephant ears. The washbasin is hand-sculpted from pure river stone, and the bathe is contained inside a spacious glass cubicle. As throughout Villa Sati, colourful authentic artwork enhances the experience.

Dwelling & Dining Room

The air-conditioned downstairs residing-dining room has merbau wood floors with stone borders, and contemporary upholstered furniture of teak wooden and rattan. Small bronze statues and artefacts replicate the serene ambience of Villa Sati. The desk overlooks the rice fields as does the dining desk, which is ready in its own bay window; the cushioned bench seat invitations lounging, studying, bird-watching or daydreaming. A teak unit homes a multi-channel satellite flat display TV, DVD participant and high quality sound system. The DVD library provides a wide array for film viewing.

Upstairs Convertible Loft

A merbau wooden staircase rises from the lounge to a comfy air-conditioned loft room that serves as a sitting/study room. Two deeply cushioned sofas may serve as twin beds or transformed into a queen-sized mattress when needed. Three partitions of screened glass windows supply expansive views of the encircling rice fields. A telescope is positioned to enlarge the panorama and the tropical vegetation of the adjoining river valley. Midway down the staircase, the visitor bathroom has the requisite shower, wash basin and bathroom – all with a view!

Villa Sati Kitchen & Food

Smoked glass doors slide open to reveal a small, absolutely-geared up kitchen the place guests are free to practice their own culinary skills. The in-house prepare dinner will prepare your complimentary breakfast.
