Car Hire France – French Riviera?
I am goin on holiday to the french riviera next year, cannes, monaco etc. Does anyone know what the law is in regard to vehicle hire ? I am 26 but do not have a driving license, but the 18 year old i’ll be going with has a full driving licence. I have looked at a few car hire websites in and around cannes and they have all said that you have to be over 25 years old.
Can anyone help ?

The car rental companies won’t rent to anyone with a license less than three years old as a minimum. The 25 years old limit is just to make sure of it and make sure that the driver has left the ‘young driver’ category, to avoid being socked by the insurances.
There’s a good network of trains and buses instead. And it will be cheaper as well.
